Things are looking up!

Construction of the USAFA Ropes Course and Climbing Wall is underway! The tower’s structure was designed to complement the angles and feel of the nearby Polaris Hall, while the stacked and triangular structural supports find their inspiration from the angles of the Cadet Chapel.

The tower will have two ‘classroom decks’ to serve as both entry points to the course. Equipped with dynamic and smart belay systems, rappel stations, climbing surfaces, and a zip line, the unique course elements were incorporated into the programming to satisfy the diversity of use by course operators.

The tower is expected to be completed this summer.

Castle Rock Administration Building

The Castle Rock Water Administration Building is a one-story, 13,000+ square foot municipal building for the Water Department of Castle Rock located on the 9-acre water campus site on Kellogg St in Castle Rock. As the public face of Castle Rock Water, the tall folding plane roof over the main entry draws customers into the brightly-lit and colorful atrium lobby that bisects the building.

Outside xeriscape gardens and water-saving features like water quality planters and ponds that filter rainwater runoff surround the building and serve as examples for how customers can create water-wise features on their own property. Other sustainable design features include roof-top solar panels, solar tube daylighting into all interior office spaces, and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
