JOIN OUR TEAM

HB&A is an architecture and planning firm providing consulting services to clients seeking design, analysis, and creative solutions from the facility to the regional level.  We are a small business offering a stimulating environment, good people, flexible hours, and exciting work.

We have only one office located in beautiful, livable (and close to the mountains), downtown Colorado Springs but our work takes us all over Colorado, around the U.S., and the world. We serve local municipalities, non-profit/private clients, as well as the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.

We give back to our community. As an employee, you have the opportunity to participate, volunteer and lead volunteer efforts in activities that interest you. Recent volunteer work includes garden design and summer maintenance for a city-owned flower bed, support for Habitat for Humanity, and organization of a holiday gift drive for children in need. Some staff-initiated support for non-profit or community efforts include a guest lecture in support of senior housing, financial and consulting support for a non-profit that creates interstitial housing for young adults, and in nominating organizations for HB&A charitable or volunteer support.

COMPANY CULTURE

We encourage collaboration and team building in professional and personal interests.  We encourage crossover between our architecture and planning departments, with related lunch and learns presentations, tours of construction sites, and in-office project presentations. We also come together for weekly breakfasts, monthly potlucks and birthday celebrations, periodic happy hours, our annual holiday party, and family- oriented summer events. We believe in friendly competitions, like chili cook-offs, cookie bake-offs, a medallion hunt, and other team sports. As a dog friendly office, we invite all sizes and shapes into the office on Fridays during the summer and those with new pups to bring them in any time for a “meet ‘n’ greet” with the staff.  We also like to use our skills and expertise to help enhance our community, supporting our staff to become involved in things of interest.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR IN AN EMPLOYEE?

  • Multi-disciplined

  • Flexible in supporting a wide array of projects

  • Constantly reinvigorating themselves

  • Committed to quality and excellence

  • Ability to determine and pursue diverse project expectations
