HB&A is pleased to announce the opening of Casa Mundi, a 27-unit boutique apartment property in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs.
The first true multi-use apartment complex in town, Casa Mundi offers both one- and two-bedroom units with mountain and city views. The 36,800 SF building was designed by HB&A for local developer Darsey Nicklasson. It was built on a narrow infill lot with buildings on both sides.
The four-story building has a contemporary Mediterranean vibe. The ground floor holds retail or restaurant space. Upper floors have 27 one- or two-bedroom apartments. All units face east or west for optimal views of either downtown Colorado Springs or Pikes Peak. Each unit has a balcony of varying sizes to allow outdoor living.
The first-floor lobby area provides a locker for each apartment and a bicycle parking-storage and repair area.
In support of the Mediterranean theme, the exterior of the structure includes stucco, faux wood panels, and stone veneer finishes. The adjacent covered tenant surface parking lot includes outlets for electric vehicle charging.
Recreational opportunities abound in Colorado Springs. Casa Mundi near to Red Rock Canyon Open Space, Cheyenne Canyon, and Garden of the Gods, three favorite public recreation areas in town.
