at the farm

Colorado Springs, CO

As a collaborative effort between HB&A and DHM Design, a concept design was produced for a community center for The Farm housing development in northwest Colorado Springs, CO.

With families and amenities in mind, the community center has been named The Gathering Place. In keeping with the over-arching theme of the development, The Gathering Place was designed to incorporate inspirational views of the Front Range and support the healthy and happy lifestyle of its families and residents.

The Gathering Place was conceptualized by HB&A to serve as the heart of the development community at The Farm. It contains a gym, a multipurpose community room, a swimming pool and a children’s area all with amazing views. Its rustic style mimics the land’s previous use, while large glass doors ensure constant connection between the interior functions and the idyllic surroundings. Situated on a small lake with patios, decks, barbecue areas, and scenic points of interest, the relationship with the site is critical to  the center’s function and success.
